Home Sweet Home is the third poetry collection of Lee Soho, the winner of the prestigious 37th Kim Suyeong Literary Award for her rebellious work that dismantles the ordinary. This edition features the illustration by Yeon Yeoin, the visual artist known for her delicate depiction of candid faces.

Always in search of an exit from the reality where female subjects have suffered throughout history, Lee Soho demands the restoration of ethics in our time by uninhibitedly exposing the stubborn remnants of patriarchy, sexism, and discrimination against different minority groups. In the eponymous poem “Home Sweet Home,” the empowered speaker, seeking possible progress for the future, intently parses out our internalized tribalism and exhibits the unequivocal, direct, shocking evidence of its contradictions. Surpassing the personal memories riddled with confusion and suffering, the poet is aiming at the point toward which our collective history should leap.
