Moonji Classics
The cradle of Korean literature, Moonji has handpicked and published the critically ac-
claimed the Moonji Masterpieces, a curated collection that casts a new light on the true
masterpieces of our generation accompanied by new cover designs and in-depth introduc-
tions. Moonji has also persevered to publish in serialized editions the Korean literatures
whose brilliance remain untainted over multiple generations; the Moonji Classics, a
compilation of works that have been reprinted many times by constant popular demand,
reintroduces the classics whose magnitude and innovativeness impress today’s readers; and
the Moonji Selects, our continued effort to introduce writers from the 4.19 generation on,
whose literary language was the sole device of criticism and resistance against power and
society under the era of oppression and political turmoil. These three series are not only a
