Armed with rebellious diction, Kim Hyesoon has tackled and eclipsed the poetry of her time. Her poetry reestablishes the fundamental reading and understanding of female corporeality and poetry, which has been confined and taxidermized in the logic of literary universality and rules of patriarchal society, namely the androcentric symbolic order. In every new publication, Kim overhauls her previous works as thoroughly as she does con temporary Korean poetry at large, with her ever-increasing creativity and imagination for language. Today, the poet stands in the vanguard and at the apex of poetry in the global literary world.
