A child fell from the sky into my arms.
When the sky dropped her, loneliness fell.

The father and the child are not related by blood. Still, she became inseparable from him. At first sight, she struck him like a meteorite. The brightest star in his eyes. Yet the cold gazes and whispers encroach on their bond, turning the radiant child into a loner. Disconnected from her father, she grows up inspecting his face and her own. Becoming increasingly stubborn, insatiable, and rude, she expresses with her whole body the confusion and hurt she feels, as if that’s the only way she can breathe. She wants to know her roots—where she comes from, who she is... What answers can dad give her? Mustering his courage, the father recounts their entire journey to become a family since the first meeting, in hopes of reaching his daughter’s heart. With it, he also hopes to give her the trust that they will navigate this world together, as they always have.
